Huawei is more than ready to launch the Mate 9. In fact, the Chinese networking and telecommunications company already has a definite timeline and a pocket full of teasers to keep their fans on the edge of their seats. Its recent Easter egg revealed that the upcoming flagship Smartphone will run a Kirin 960 CPU.
In one of their recent tweets, Huawei posted a video introducing the Kirin 960. It said that the chip is "a new level of innovation" and by the time it will be mass produced and inserted to devices particularly the Mate 9, the new Kirin will boast 100% transfer speed, 180% better GPU performance and 18% more CPU power as compared to Huawei's previous Kirin 950.
Practically everything about the Huawei Mate 9 is about speed. From it being "born fast" to mulling on a Smartphone that "could keep up with you", peaks and precious points on how Huawei designed the Mate 9 is slowly coming into form and in place. And if it is indeed fast as Huawei claims it to be, then the Mate 9 is well on its way to make lag and lackluster performance a thing of the past, and to make them #aStepAhead of the competition. As for the specs of the Huawei Mate 9, mobile phone leaker Evan Blass, through a post by BGR detailed that the 9 will sport a 5.9inch display screen, the aforementioned HiSilicon Kirin 960 octa-core processor, a 4GB/6GB RAM option and up to 256GB in storage space. Blass also tweeted that the Huawei Mate 9 and its "Pro" big brother will feature "4x optical zoom". The latter, he added will come in "standard and curved screen" versions, while the Long Island, aka the Mate 9 Pro will have a purple variant. Huawei is set to unveil the Mate 9 on November 3 in Munich.
