In a grueling four-hour interview with FBI, actress Angelina Jolie was questioned about the incident that occurred on Brad Pitt's private plane, where he reportedly got physical with one of his kids. Angelina Jolie rendered her complete cooperation throughout the interview answering all the questions thrown at her patiently.
According to reports, on Sept. 14, actor Brad Pitt was heavily drunk and got "verbally abusive" and "physical" with his son Maddox,15, during a flight on his private plane. The FBI agents wanted every detail of the incident that occurred mid-air from Angelina Jolie. Accordingly, Jolie cooperated throughout the investigation.
The FBI is simultaneously running an investigation with LA County Department of Children and Family Services. The FBI is likely to continue the investigation for a few more weeks before they could present the case to the prosecutor for the possible charges. Reports by Us Weekly state that sources close to the family expressed Jolie's wish to keep things private. The former couple, popularly known as Brangelina, are reportedly eager to avoid a court case. Sources said, "Neither side wants to go to the court because everything the FBI and DCFS investigated will be made entirely public and would be bad for the whole family."
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have filed for divorce following their courtship of 10 years and marriage of two years. They have six children together--Maddox,15; Pax, 12; Zahara,11; Shiloh,10; and twins Knox and Vivienne, 8. All the children currently reside with Jolie while Pitt has rights of visitation. It is likely that Angelina Jolie will be handed over the physical custody of all the children though Brad Pitt is seeking a joint physical custody. However, the permanent agreement on this is yet to be finalized.
The investigation is expected to go on for months.
