Raven Symone will no longer be part of "The View" as the actress and host announced her departure due to a very important matter. Raven Symone shared that Disney has decided to make a reboot for "That's So Raven," a show where the actress starred in the past.
Page Six reported that the "That's So Raven" reboot has no title yet but Raven Symone calls it "That's So Raven 2." She shared on the Thursday episode of "The View" that she is excited and sad for exiting the daytime talk show and even joked that she is not pregnant if anyone is thinking that it is the reason for her departure from "The View."
Raven Symone shared, "We're doing a 'That's So Raven II' ... I'm very excited. I'm going to be leaving before the year is up." The crowd cheered after Raven Symone made her announcement. The network has been looking for a replacement for Raven Symone since May this year. An insider shared in May that Raven Symone is aware of the replacement talks as she also wants to focus on her acting career.
The former Disney child star became a full-time panelist for "The View" in June of 2015. She has been seen in "The View" every Fridays since her schedule reportedly got busy with her acting projects.
"That's So Raven" came out in the mid-2000s in Disney Channel and Raven Symone said that she will reprise her role as Raven. She will be a single mother with two children and one of her kids will be having visions just like her when she was a teenager. She played the role of Raven Baxter on "That's So Raven" for five years.
There are no other details about the "That's So Raven" reboot available. Accordingly, the show is in the development stage and that a script is in the works. They are still searching for younger actors for the "That's So Raven" reboot. The reboot will also reportedly show new and old characters from the original "That's So Raven" cast, The Hollywood Reporter shared.
Raven Symone is set to get back to Los Angeles later this year before she will be seen for the last time on "The View" as a host.
