'Fuller House' Season 2 Spoilers, Cast News & Updates: DJ Picks Matt? John Brotherton Confirms Status Change

It looks like DJ (Candace Cameron Bure) on "Fuller House" has made her choice regarding the men in her life. John Brotherton, who plays Matt in the Netflix series, hints of this fact in an exclusive interview.

Viewers might recall that Matt has been wooing DJ in the first season of "Fuller House" and they have been closely working together at the veterinarian clinic. He made her his business partner and he has been patient about her decisions when it came to dating, especially when there's Steve (Scott Winger) to complicate the love triangle.

Matt is the ultimate "ideal guy" that "Fuller House" fans have come to love and his waiting for DJ to make a choice could soon pay off. "His relationship status on Facebook may be updated," John Brotherton hinted, in an interview with Celebmix. DJ's big decision about her relationships might even happen sometime during "Fuller House" Season 2's special Thanksgiving episode.

This news might be a blow for "Fuller House" fans who have been hoping DJ ends up with Steve, her first boyfriend from high school. But as Vanity Fair has confirmed, John Brotherton's status has been upgraded to series regular for "Fuller House" Season 2. This suggests he isn't leaving the series any time soon, thus DJ choosing him over Steve actually makes sense.

However, TV Line reports that Steve will not be broken-hearted as he will be dating a woman named CJ. This relationship, however, will appear to be quite weird as CJ is a lot like DJ in looks and mannerisms. The actress playing the character has not been announced, but CJ may or may not be played by Candice Cameron Bure as well.

"Fuller House" Season 2 is launching on the Netflix streaming platform on Friday, Dec. 9, 2016. The new season comes only months after the debut of the first season in February. As with "Fuller House" Season 1, the upcoming offering will have 13 episodes and it will mostly center on holidays, celebrations and family.
