The past two months have been good for Lenovo and, well, Motorola. After announcing that they will be participating in the recently concluded IFA 2016 in Berlin, the slew of products practically drowned the massive layoff issued by Lenovo. By September, a new Motorola handset was exposed - something that's strikingly similar to the one spotted at TENNA.
Based on the reports by GSM Arena, the supposed device is the upcoming Moto M, "budget-friendly" Smartphone with a 5.5inch, 1080p display screen and a couple of RAM and storage options. China, the website added, will offer a standard 4GB RAM and 64GB/128GB variants, while the Motorola Moto M international version will haggle on a 3GB/4GB and 32GB/128GB variant. In addition, the new Motorola device should carry a 2.0GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor, Android 6.0 Marshmallow Operating System and a massive 5,100mAh embedded battery.
However, sources are also claiming that the Motorola Moto M will have an XT1663 model number. The TENNA variant meanwhile had an XT1662 code. With two devices bearing different serials, they are now mulling that the Moto M will have two variants, the one being a "Plus" or a "Mini", or even an entirely new Smartphone as a whole. As a slight contrast, Tech Times said that the Moto M (codenamed "Kung Fu") will be powered by a MediaTek Helio P10 SoC and a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 4 as protection. Likewise, it will sport a 16megaxpiel rear camera, an 8megapixel front facing snapper. There will also be a fingerprint scanner underneath the camera, it added.
Lenovo is also scheduled to release the P2 together with the Motorola Moto M on November 8. The P2 will also don a 5.5inch screen, plus a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor. Also, the Lenovo P2 will be offered in two options: a "European" P2 comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage, while the "Chinese" version is a 4GB RAM and 64GB storage device.
The Lenovo P2's camera peaks in at 13megapixel at the back and a measly 5megapixel in front. There will also be a fingerprint scanner embedded on the Smartphone's home button, as well as an Adreno 506 graphics card and microSD card slot.
