A child in his growing age will inherit almost everything that they will be taught in an early age. A role of a parent can be divided into two parts: nurture and structure.
A parent can play a role of a nurturer by just taking care of common things and basic needs of their children, such as giving them love, food, shelter, attention, time and support. Providing all the basic needs is what fufills the domain of nurture.
According to The Center of Parenting Education post, a child feels loved and worthy when they see their parents nurturing them. They feel good and they also starts to trust because they know that their parent will provide them with all their needs.
As per Love Your Children USA, parental love and care is a huge determinant of how a child grows up to become what type of parent they are. Providing love and care to a child at a very young age can develop a child's brain in a good way.
The other role takes on a structural approach for the parent to take. It is their responsibility to provide a structure to a child's life. This helps set an example for the child to follow, a framework that decides what kind of a person a child will turn out to be.
A parent has to guide their child, has to set limits for them and have to give them direction. They have to tell a child that which path he or she should follow.
Once a parent has fulfilled the role of structure, a child feels safe and they gain experience, as well as learn from their mistakes. The best thing that a child can learn is to be able to handle, manage or tolerate disappointment and anger. They understand things and behave according to that. They know what they are capable of and they know their limitations and values as well.
