'Big Bang Theory' Season 11 Canceled: Main Cast Allegedly Asking For Higher Salary, Kaley Cuoco Confirms Exit?

With the popularity of the "The Big Bang Theory," fans cannot believe that it is now facing cancellation rumors. But what is more bizarre is the reason for the show's termination. While the 10th season is still currently airing, many are anticipating for "The Big Bang Theory" Season 11. Is it possible for this to happen?

According to reports, the main cast of the show is demanding a higher salary which might be impossible for the show runners especially that they are already receiving a huge amount per episode. The further increase might lead to the show's cancellation since everything might merely be spent for the actor's salaries.

The contracts of main stars Kaley Cuoco, Jim Parsons, and Johnny Galecki ends on the tenth season of the show. And renewing the contract means an increase in their $1 million salaries each for every episode, The Hollywood Life reported.

Even Cuoco admitted in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel that doing another season would be very expensive. She also added it is hard to try different looks for 10 years. She starred in the series when she was just 21-years-old.

But this doesn't mean that Cuoco is already out of the show although many reports are saying that she got fired due to her expensive salary. There are even speculations that a pregnancy story arc will be used for her character, Penny.

According to TV Series Finale, "The Big Bang Theory" is still the highest rated television show on CBS. Even if it has moved from its Monday timeslot to Thursday night, the ratings remain high. As a matter of fact, it reached 14.31 million viewers.

Given that ratings, fans can definitely expect for "The Big Bang Theory" Season 11 to follow the lives of Penny, Leonard, Sheldon, and the rest of the characters.

"The Big Bang Theory" airs Thursdays on CBS at 8 p.m. ET.
