Jimmy Fallon and NBC are condemned by creating a venue for Donald Trump. During the interview at "The Tonight's Show," Trump was depicted as fun in the show, rather than someone who's dangerous, as the Huffington Post puts it
The notion comes from when Samantha Bee, from Full Frontal, issued a statement. NBC and the audience can brush off Trump's danger because they are not the ones who are going to be deported, said Bee.
The most controversial part was when Fallon ran his fingers through Trump's hair. Samantha Bee saw this as a representation that Trump can also become nice. Bee also saw the interview as letting the people feel comfortable with Trump.
But Tina Fey feels that these are unwanted criticism. Fey believes that it's not Fallon's fault why the election have become very ugly. Fey thinks people should not judge Fallon quickly, Huffington Post reported.Fallon also did some damage control in the issue by appearing in one of SNL's episode.
Here, Fey played as Denise and Fallon as Doreene. They played as undecided voters from Pennsylvania. Fey leaned over Fallon and said "Whatever, you love Trump..." Fallon replied, "I said it one time. Get off my bra strap, cool police."
Aside from this appearance, NBS and Jimmy Fallon haven't publicly spoken about the issue. But Fallon admits that he wasn't only 'soft' to Trump. He stated in a short interview with TMZ that he's never hard to anyone in his show.
People are divided. David Letterman believes that talk shows must state facts even if it makes people in the room uncomfortable. Others consider the host to remain a comedian regardless of the situation.
People lean to Letterman as he was honest in criticizing Trump, but making sure he sent the right message. While others believe that Fallon just did what a talk show host should do.
