The new "Tomb Raider" sequel was confirmed after a passenger in a subway train was caught up with its presentation. Thanks to the fast hand Reddit user named Tripleh280 as he posted the image that he captured during his train trip.
The PlayStation For Life confirmed that the new "Tomb Raider" is in the works, "Shadow of the Tomb Raider." It is the 3rd sequel of the "Tomb Raider" reboot series created by the game developer Crystal Dynamics.
Apparently, a man was caught with his laptop sitting in the subway train and a "Tomb Raider" presentation was shown on his screen. A man standing right next to him quickly pulled out his camera and took a snap of his laptop screen.
Though the image is kind of blurry, it is pretty clear to see the header with the title showing Shadow of the "Tomb Raider" at the top right part. The image was posted immediately via social media and drawn a lot of attention.
The Business Insider cited that this viral image is not a surprise since this the second time that a video game in development was revealed the same way. It also happens with the Assassin's Creed IV as it was also revealed in a very similar way.
The intriguing part is that the image was taken in Montreal, the fact that the first two "Tomb Raider" sequels were developed in San Francisco by the Crystal Dynamics. Having said, the Kotaku stated that development of the "Tomb Raider" 3 was moved to the Eidos Montreal.
A report from Digital Spy also confirmed that an unnamed source told Kotaku that the said title of the "Tomb Raider" 3 is real and genuine. As of the moment, all we need to do is wait until further announcements and for now one thing is for sure, the Shadow of the "Tomb Raider" is about to come.
