In the CCTV footage, a toddler can be seen inside a store sitting in a pushchair when an attacker armed with a knife chased two teens that ran past the toddler, leaving the toddler pushed and almost flipped over. The child was not harmed although the pushchair was thrown around by two teenagers.
The knife attack started when a group of juveniles popped up outside a store in Linacre Lane, Bootle. A few seconds later, a black motorbike with two men dressed and masked in a whole black suit came, and the teens ran inside the store. One rider got off the motorbike and chased the juveniles inside the full and busy store.
Inside the store, the teens ran past a child sitting in a pushchair in the midst of the store. The pushchair of the toddler was pushed and almost turned over as the teens ran past at the same time trying to escape the attacker.
During the chase, the masked knifeman knifed one of the teens at his side who was few meters away from the child. The culprit walked out the store calmly, climbed on the motorbike and drove down the Fernhill Road.
The store called the emergency services right away. When the ambulance came, the 15-year-old knife wounded was brought to Alder Hey Hospital. Police said the boy's wound was stitched and released that day. The boy is recovering now at home.
Meanwhile, police are appealing for witnesses after a teenage boy was stabbed, the Mail Online has learned. "I would urge anyone who has any information which could help us find those responsible to come forward as soon as possible," Liverpool Echo quoted Det. Insp Jimmy Belmar of Sefton CID as saying.
