The latest tool box available from the "Gears of War 4" DLC will also promote the hip-hop team of Run the Jewels, who made a music video last September endorsing the game.
Microsoft has placed a $20 price tag for the "Gears of War" add-on that includes two XP bounties for online versus play, two emblem designs that can be used for player profiles, teal-blue skin for any weapon, and skin unlocks of the hip-hop members El-P and Killer Mike.
There is also a $50 season pass for maps that uses cash-only content. No other contents in the DLC loot box can be gained using in-game currency that players get by playing the "Horde" co-op mode and versus online mode.
The "Gears of War" developer The Coalition announced that the initial set of DLC multiplayer maps will be available in public playlists starting November 8. The game company is resurrecting two "Legacy Maps" for "Gears of War 4" which is Drydock and Checkout.
The Checkout map will transport gamers to Cole's place of origin 25 years later after the end of "Gears of War 3." The action will take place in the hometown's supermarket which is being regained by nature. And fans of the "Gears of War" series will be able to explore a mall area, different stores, and grocery checkout lanes.
The other map called Drydock was also introduced in "Gears of War 3," and it allows players to have combat in cargo container buildings along with large fleet vessels. The details on the map are very realistic and similar to real ship graveyards.
The Coalition has also announced that "Gears of War 4" will be receiving a new update. This is in response to players complaining about the lack of penalties for individuals who suddenly quit in the middle of a match and to balance out the points for player's profiles.
In other news, "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" will have new changes based on the response on the test run from the two beta versions of the game. The game developer Infinity Ward said that the modifications will include matchmaking adjustments, weapon balancing, and perk fixes.
Player evaluations will also have less restrictions, and geographic categorization will be further improved. The matchmaking fixes will be used in order to minimize the length of the matching times.
