Gastronomic delights are now made easier and within reach with the literal press of a finger or two. Epicurious created an upgraded iPad and iPhone app for aspiring chefs. They are uploading more than 1,000 recipes in this new app for their users and fans.
According to Digital Trends, there are 90 new recipes uploaded as of the time of posting. "We believe that the future of recipes is video," explains Eric Gillin, Epicurious executive director. Some themes explored in the app's interface include quick holiday recipes and easy recipes with a minimal amount of ingredients.
Epicurious has made a lot of headway across all social media channels prior to their Epicurious food app launch. They have over 50,000 YouTube subscribers and their videos are habitually making rounds for its viral quality. The often wordless, action-packed, and quick video procedures attract different types of visual learners globally.
Apart from the quick recipe video tutorials, the expert cooking tips from the Epicurious community is also one of the company's and app's greatest strengths.
In their recent official statement, Epicurious claims that this new app they developed will change people's cooking and learning habits in the kitchen. Apart from the 1,000 new recipes, the app will also be home to 35,000 recipes that have been lauded online by users and followers under a user-friendly interface. Some features of the app include toggling of ingredients, a kitchen timer, and a widget containing the recipe of the day.
At the moment, the latest Epicurious app is limited to iPhone and iPad users. Epicurious' successful reinvention last February 2015 ushered in a new age of digital food service for the company and its supporters. Their revamp gained traction and wide acceptance on social media. Apart from the app, they also have a kitchen timer for Apple Watch.
