Chinese smartphone makers are slowly but surely conquering the world so to speak. China smartphone maker Meizu is another addition to the list. Meizu recently released its budget smartphone, Meizu M5.
According to Gizbot, Meizu M5 is a tough competition to the big and more established brands like Lenovo and Asus. In the smartphone bracket, the phones of Lenovo and Asus may even fall short if compared to the performance of Meizu M5.
Meizu M5 features a 5.2-inch HD display which is good considering it is a budget smartphone. Meizu M5 also comes with 2.5D curved glass. The Meizu M5 is made of polycarbonate and is available in various pastel colors making it basic but appealing.
Meizu M5 has a 13MP rear-facing camera. The Meizu M5 also comes with dual-tone LED flash and f/2.2 aperture 5P lens. The front facing camera of Meizu M5 is 5MP with f/2.0 aperture 4P lens. The camera of Meizu M5 is considered respectable given its price range.
Meizu M5 is powered by MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor. The CPU of Meizu M5 also is paired with 2GB or 3GB LPDDR3 RAM. It is promising that Meizu M5 comes with such processor specs even it is a budget smartphone.
The most interesting feature of Meizu M5 will have to be its battery. The Meizu M5 comes with 3,070mAh battery unit which promises to deliver 66 hours of music playback. Users of Meizu M5 will have non-stop music enjoyment because of what its battery is capable of.
As added by GSM Arena, the Meizu M5 runs on Flyme UI together with Yun OS and is already available in China at present. The international release of Meizu M5 will have to be confirmed. It is reported that Meizu M5 is available in several countries spanning Europe and Asia so it is highly likely to reach the US soil either before the year ends or early 2017.
