'Timeless' Going Strong On 'The Voice' Time Slot, But Ceases When Gwen Stefani Returns On February?

Monday is crucial to the success of NBC and "Timeless" with a drama episode "Taken" temporarily replacing the popular blind addition show "The Voice" at 10 p.m. did not fail them. The debut is already set on Feb. 27, 2016.

"Timeless" has a nostalgic theme involving time travel. A state-of-the-art time machine went to the wrong hands. The U.S. government seeks help from, Lucy Preston (Abigail Spencer) who is a history professor, Wyatt Logan (Matt Lanter), a soldier and a Rufus Carlin (Malcolm Barrett), a scientist.

They will embark on crossing over into different eras. Travel from the present and during the war in1865 and 1843 shows the difference in the world according to time. The adventure revolves around the chasing after of criminals and to pin down Garcia Flynn, the mastermind.

The "Timeless" series proves to be a hit and NBC orders three more episodes making it a full season sci-fi drama, according to Variety. But what happens when "The Voice" returns in February with the reappearance of Gwen Stefani? No more "Timeless" after this season?

NBC Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt is not worried at all. He's looking forward to Gwen Stefani's comeback along with the other judges, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and the newest addition, Alicia Keys then savor the most ambitious new show "Timeless" after it, says E-Online.

By the look of it, "Timeless" will just slide down and continues to air right after "The Voce." It now has a 2.7 average rating among adult viewers with ages ranging from 18 to 49. Nielsen recorded 10.7 million viewers for "Timeless".

Emotional afflictions caused by "Timeless" and the mystery of nostalgia in different moments in time are captivating to its target viewers. Jennifer Salke, the president of NBC Entertainment gives credits to Eric Kripke and Shawn Ryan for their production expertise.

Alexander Cary executive producer of "Timeless" is also its writer. So, time travel continues right after "The Voice" in February.
