Samsung Gear S3 Specs, Release Date, Prices: New Fitness Smartwatch All Set For Nov. 18 Launch; Pre-Orders To Open Sunday

The Samsung Gear S3 smartwatch which was unveiled in August this year will be officially released on Nov. 18. The Samsung Gear S3 is available for pre-orders, which will begin on Nov. 6.

The Samsung Gear S3 will be available in two different versions, which are the LTE-connected version and the Bluetooth version. However, the release will only be applicable to watches sold through third-party retailers such as Amazon, Best Buy and Samsung itself. In addition, the LTE-capable Gear S3 frontier model would be available from AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon as well, reported GSM Arena. The release date and cost of the smartwatch available on these platforms will, however, vary depending on what the respective companies decide.

The Samsung Gear S3 smartwatch runs on a 9 Tizen operating system. It comes with a 1.3 inch 360 x 360 super AMOLED display. The device boasts of a built-in GPS, a speedometer, an altimeter, heart-rate sensor and a barometer. The user gets an access to over 10,000 applications in the Tizen store. Served by a 380mAh battery, the Samsung Gear S3 reportedly lasts for up to four days even under constant usage.

The Samsung Gear S3 performs multiple functions such as reading messages, setting alarms, timers, volume adjustment, call facilities etc. Users can choose the Classic model of Samsung Gear S3 for a formal look and the Samsung Gear S3 Frontier for a more rugged look cites CNET.

AT&T is offering the users to buy the smartwatch on an installment basis. The Samsung Gear S3 is available at AT&T for $17.50 per month. The payment must be made for 20 months.
