‘Trainspotting 2’ First Official Trailer Released, Ewan McGregor's Character After 20 Years And What Fans Should Expect

"Choose Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and hope that someone, somewhere cares" is the new opening of "T2 Trainspotting." A modern take on the movie's first installment in 1996.

Danny Boyle, who wrote and directed the first installment of "Trainspotting 2" revealed the sequel in an interview last year. He also ensured the fans that all four actors are ready to take on their characters 20 years after, and they surely did, he said in an interview with Rolling Stone.

"T2 Trainspotting" may be set in the modern times, but not must have changed. It still has the same mayhem involving drugs and sex, and that's what makes it familiar to fans.

Ewan McGregor reunites with his buddies in their early 20s in "T2 Trainspotting." The characters, Sick Boy Jonny Lee Miller, Renton played by Ewan McGregor, Spud played by Ewen Bremmer, Begbie played by Robert Carlyle are reunited after 20 years.

As stated, the most recent trailer of "T2 Trainspotting" reveals that the characters are still up to no good. In an era where everything is moving fast and people are hooked on different things, Renton asks the viewers, as seen in the trailer, to choose life.

Robert Carlyle, playing Begbie in "T2 Trainspotting" said in an interview with Rolling Stone that it's one of the best scripts he has ever read. He explains that the film will surely make you ask what you've done to your life.

Fans are surely intrigued and excited to know what their favorite characters have been up to. And, from the looks of it, "T2 Trainspotting" will surely be more than what the fans have hoped for.

"T2 Trainspotting" is produced by Figment Films, Film4, Cloud Eight Films, and Decibel Films. The film's soundtrack have not been released, but the trailer already contains songs from Underworld and Wolf Alice, reported by Billboard.
