‘Luke Cage’ Season 2 Air Date, Latest News Updates: Claire Temple To Trigger ‘Daredevil’ Crossover? Madame Gao Appearing In Netflix Series S2?

Marvel's "Luke Cage" Season 2 in Netfix with star Mike Colter is anticipated to meet up with "Daredevil" lead Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) triggered by Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson). Aside from Claire Temple bringing in Matt Murdock, one other Marvel character first seen in "Daredevil" is expected to join "Luke Cage" Season 2 - Madame Gao (Wai Ching Ho).

"Luke Cage" Season 1 on Netflix ended on a bittersweet note where Luke Cage and Claire Temple had to miss out on their coffee date once more. With Luke Cage taken into custody, Claire Temple promised to bring in the best lawyer she knows.

Claire Temple frequently referred to Matt Murdock in "Luke Cage" Season 1, although never by his real name nor by his superhero nickname Daredevil. As fans of the Marvel series on Netflix know, Claire Temple first appeared in "Daredevil" Season 1, appeared briefly in "Jessica Jones" before eventually joining "Luke Cage."

One wonders if the fact that Claire Temple and Matt Murdock were once sweet on each other would play into the meeting between Daredevil and Luke Cage. Although in the Marvel comic books Luke Cage eventually ends up with Jessica Jones, the former Power Man had been making a play for Claire Temple in Season 1.

As it is "Luke Cage" Season 2 might get a peek of a strange love triangle of sorts among Luke Cage, Daredevil and Claire Temple. Or probably not given that Claire Temple seemed sold on Luke Cage more easily than on Matt Murdock in "Daredevil."

Meanwhile Madame Gao, first seen running a heroine operation in "Daredevil" Season 1 could also be making her way to "Luke Cage" Season 2. As Vanity Fair points out, Madame Gao and her heroin trade were first referenced by Doming Colon (Jacob Vargas) in "Luke Cage Season 1.

While Madame Gao assumed alternating villainy and benevolence toward Daredevil, the Marvel villain would characteristically be unpredictable and enigmatic in "Luke Cage" Season 2. Mariah Dillard (Alfre Woodard) and Hernan "Shades" Alvarez (Theo Rossi) would certainly have a dangerous frenemy if Madame Gao shows up in the coming "Luke Cage" episodes.

Confirmation by Netflix on "Luke Cage" Season is still forthcoming with firm release date yet to be announced. If that crossover happens in "Luke Cage" Season 2 are you shipping Claire Temple with Luke Cage or with Daredevil?
