'Supergirl' Season 2 Spoilers & Latest News: Jeremy Danvers Returns As Cyborg Superman? Get The Details!

Could the Danvers sisters finally find their missing father Jeremy Danvers (Dean Cain)? When he does appear on "Supergirl," could Jeremy not be the man they know? Speculations are that the character will be transformed into Cyborg Superman as a result of an experiment done on him at CADMUS. The whole story will be expounded in an episode slated for airing Monday, Nov. 21.

Screen Crush reports on The CW's latest synopsis release for "Supergirl," with the episode entitled "The Darkest Place" slated for Nov. 21. It outlines how Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) will encounter Cyborg Superman for the first time after she tries to rescue Mon-El (Chris Wood) from CADMUS.

There's a strong buzz Cyborg Superman will be Jeremy Danvers on "Supergirl," yet there are also other speculations suggesting Cyborg Superman could also be President Olivia Marsdin (Lynda Carter) or Mon-El himself. But what is the real origin of this character?

In the DC Comics source material, Cyborg Superman was originally Hank Henshaw (David Harewood), according to IGN. But Hank Henshaw in the "Supergirl" TV show has been turned into the Martian J'onn J'onzz. Hence, it's not likely that the writers would also make his character Cyborg Superman.

It's also unlikely for Tyler Hoechlin to return to "Supergirl" playing this cybernetically-altered character. Cyberg Superman was also Zor-El in the comic series, who is Supergirl's Kryptonian biological father. Thus, fans speculate this is the storyline that the TV show will follow, albeit with creative variations.

Meanwhile, "Supergirl" will be airing its fifth episode for Season 2 on Monday, Nov. 7. Entitled "Crossfire," it has Supergirl dealing with a gang of criminals using alien technology. The DEO will get information that CADMUS is behind these criminals.

Kara will also be helping out Mon-El get acclimated in the human world when she gets him a job at CatCo media. Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath) makes her appearance in this episode as well.

Viewers of "Supergirl" should also anticipate the appearance of the vigilante Guardian (Mehcad Brooks) in the new episode. Keep track of updates and news about "Supergirl" on this site. In the meantime, here's a preview of the next episode below.
