"Game of Thrones" Season 7 "The Winds of Winter," is set to air later this year, but there are already many spoilers floating around. One of them suggesting that Jaime will kill Cersei. Jaime and Cersei Lannister were born right after the other with Jaime holding on to Cersei's right foot. In the earlier seasons, they were thought to be inseparable, but their respective arcs have recently been pushing them farther apart.
Jaime has slowly been developing from a conceited swords man, to a sound diplomat. He has been using his influence to put an end to senseless violence. Subsequently, Cersei burned down the Great Sept of Baelor in King's Landing using tons of wildfire, killing innocent nobles in the process including Queen Margaery Tyrell.
In "A Feast for Crows," Cersei sent Jaime a letter while she was on trial, asking him to return to King's Landing to save her. While a younger Jaime would have gone immediately to King's Landing, he instead burned the letter.
Additionally, Maggy the Frog, a fortune teller from Lannisport, told a youthful Cersei in the first episode of Season 5: "And when your tears have drowned you, the valonqar shall wrap his hands about your pale white throat and choke the life from you."
"Valonqar" means "little brother" in High Valyrian. Cersei has two younger brothers namely Jaime, who is younger than her by seconds, and Tyrion Lannister.
Given Maggy's prophecy, it is most likely that Cersei will eventually be killed by the "valonqar." The question now is - which little brother will murder her?
According to Quora's Radha Sawana, Cersei thinks that the "valonqar" Maggy referred to is Tyrion, and understandably so because they cannot stand each other. It was also speculated that King Tommen was the "valonqar" who will kill his own mother to save Queen Margaery. However, we all know that both Tommen and Margaery are gone.
Tyrion could possibly be the "valonqar," but we all know George R.R. Martin would never take the clear path on a story. So it is unlikely that Cersei's murderer will be Tyrion.
Furthermore, Jaime did not look very happy with the actions of his sister who killed countless innocent lives in her ascent to the throne, according to the Huffington Post. It is, therefore, likely that Jaime will be named a Queenslayer in addition to being a Kingslayer.
Do you think the "valonqar" is indeed Jaime, or will it actually be Tryion? Let us know your predictions!
