"Dancing With The Stars" fans were alarmed when Jana Kramer recently posted a photo of partner Gleb Savchenko with a knee brace, lying exhausted after practice. Could the two still give a stellar performance?
As seen on DWTS last Monday, Nov. 7, the two did not disappoint and delivered a perfect waltz. Kramer and Savchenko chose the song "She Used to Be Mine," the theme song from the Broadway musical "Waitress."
Although the nature of Savchenko's injury was not revealed, the cast around his leg suggests that it is knee-related. Reportedly, the dancer religiously went to therapy and rehearsals just to be able to perform for DWTS. Savchenko's efforts definitely paid off!
However, despite their perfect routine, Kramer and Savchenko did not nab the top spot in DWTS. While others have gotten perfect 10 scores repeatedly, Kramer and Savchenko have only managed to get 9s. In fact, Kramer and Savchenko have been close to elimination during many episodes in the past, according to TV Line.
Meanwhile, Sharna Burgess, another contestant, also suffered a knee injury during Week 8. Burgess remains positive, saying that she is healing well. However, the injury might put on a dent on her plans as she hopes to join the tour next season. Nevertheless, Burgess and partner James Hinchcliffe are confident to finish good, according to ET Online.
What did you think of Kramer and Savchenko's last performance? "Dancing With the Stars" Season 23 airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
