Teen Girls Like Hillary Clinton Than Donald Trump Because Of The Issue With ‘Respect’, Poll Says

After the release of the information about the solid 47.1 percent high school students who want Donald Trump to lead instead of Hillary Clinton, here comes a new survey saying that another group of young people wants the female presidential hopeful to govern. Majority of the teen girls feel better with Clinton while Trump makes them feel worse.

An online poll conducted for the New York Times showed that a quarter of teenage girls say Clinton's candidacy has actually encouraged them to lead in whatever domain they would think about. Trump's comments, on the other hand, let them feel negative about themselves, especially with their bodies.

Most teens who express their opinions about the presidential hopefuls are still not in the legal age to vote. However, their voices are still heard by the ones who are voting including some millennials or seniors in the society.

One recent Pew study suggests that 60 percent of voters said Trump is disrespectful of women. The male presidential candidate has a lot of things to say that make people feel worse and disrespected.

Among the teen girls who participated in the poll, 27 percent said that Trump's candidacy made them less likely to seek leadership roles and perhaps making them feel like a minority that has no voice at all. Also, 42 percent said that Trump's comments have negative effects on how they think about their bodies while 83 percent said a candidate's gender is no big deal but 89 percent said a woman is better than a man to be the president of the United States of America.

Feminism is continually progressing on its popularity among young women in the society. Approximately 63 percent of women aged 18-34 are considered "feminist" or a "strong feminist," according to a January poll from the Washington Post. With this, there is no assurance that polls can be extremely biased or honest.
