The teen lovers who murdered a mother and daughter in the Twilight killings have a sudden split. One denied the said murder but admitted manslaughter due to diminished responsibility.
Since the trial for killing Elizabeth Edwards, 49, and Katie, 13, the two teenagers did not say a word. They were both 14 at that time and agreed to plead guilty.
The 14 year old teens allegedly had sex, ate ice cream and watched "Twilight" films as part of their plan to the the crime. A big part of the plan was not done though, which is the suicide pact that they should have done after committing the crime, as reported by the Sun magazine.
The male accused reportedly wanted himself and now ex-gf to admit the killings and later to revel in the notoriety of the murders. The failed suicide pact was also the reason to have the wedge driven between them.
The ex-couple did not talk or look at each other during the trial. The girl got upset about the split while the boy seem not to care at all.
The pair were convicted since a month ago in Spalding, Lincs. and will be sentenced on Thursday. The Nottingham crown court is looking at the angle of grudge against Elizabeth of the accused who later planned the killings for a couple of days.
The incident happened in April 15, discovering the two bodies in two different rooms of the house. The mother was found lying in bed in her room where she was repeatedly stabbed especially in the throat part so she could not speak nor scream. She also got stabs on her shoulders and her windpipe was almost cut off.
There were eight sharp force injuries of which five were on Mrs. Edwards' hands. This suggested that she may have been trying to defend herself from the killer so hard. The younger victim, on the other hand, was smothered with a pillow, as reported by DailyMail.
