"Pokemon Go's" next big update is suggested to be rolled out on Nov. 18, the same day that "Pokemon Sun and Moon" will be launched. The new update is speculated to be related to "Pokemon Sun and Moon" to apparently boost sales of the new title. Rumor has it that "Pokemon Go's" upcoming update will add Alola Pokemon creatures, a Pokemon variant from "Pokemon Sun and Moon."
"Pokemon Go" developer Niantic Labs have been busy releasing patches for the mobile app in the past weeks. However, the developer has not given the game a new content that could keep the interest of long-time players. If rumors about the addition of Alola Pokemon creatures are to be considered, this may apparently increase the hype of players especially those who also play the Nintendo Pokemon game franchise.
"Pokemon Go" and "Pokemon Sun and Moon," however, come from two different developers. "Pokemon Go" is being handled by Niantic while "Pokemon Sun and Moon" is from Nintendo but both fall under the same franchise from the Pokemon Company. That said, it seems possible that Nintendo and the Pokemon Company consider "Pokemon Go" as a means to advertise the new "Pokemon Sun and Moon" games, Forbes reported.
Meanwhile, previous reports also claimed that an interaction between "Pokemon Go" and "Pokemon Sun and Moon" creatures are already in the works. Director Junichi Masuda of the Pokemon franchise has already revealed that the developers have started planning on connecting the two games, Parent Herald reported. This further proves the possibility of an Alola Pokemon crossover to "Pokemon Go" mobile game.
"Pokemon Go" still remains as one of the most wanted mobile app today especially after Niantic released a couple of new updates, including increased availability of rare Pokemon, increased bonuses and the expansion of its own Pokemon tracker.
