Viewers are just in the first season of "This Is Us, " and everyone is already in for a whirlwind of emotions. And by the looks of it, the drama surely won't stop here.
In last week's episode entitled "Career Days," the drama tackled on the what-if's of the characters. First was Randall, portrayed by Sterling Pearson, as he wondered what if his true calling was to become a musician. Another character who visited the what-if lane during episode 6 of "This Us" was Kevin (Justin Hartley), who broke down during the episode.
"This Is Us" director and producer Ken Olin revealed that the what-if moments and flashbacks were important. It aimed to give the viewers a glimpse of how different the characters are, Olin said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
Meanwhile, the upcoming episode 7 of "This Is Us," entitled "The Best Washing Machine in the World," also puts a little more perspective on the characters.
It could be that the washing machine pertains to the relationships of the characters to one another. Here, the relationship of Randall (Sterling Person) and Kevin will be tested.
Another important scene in the trailer of this episode is a scene between Kate (Chrissy Metz) and Toby (Chris Sullivan). Fans and viewers can all agree that Toby has been consistent with Kate, but she's been a skeptic of his intentions. Is Toby hiding something from Kate as he seems to be avoiding her?
However, in an interview with actress Chrissy Metz with TV Guide, the actress confirmed that despite her inhibitions, Kate indeed likes Toby.
"She's just coming more into her own," Metz said. "And she's believing that he could really care for her. Of course, that starts with us right? If we don't love ourselves nobody can love us."
But will there be a confrontation between them? And how will Randall and Kevin' story unfold?
Find out as the new episode of "This is Us" airs on Nov. 15 on NBC.
