Alicia Keys Drops Adverse Comments On 'Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs’

Alicia Keys calls the classic Disney fairy tale "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" totally "sSexist" and "misogynistic". The 35-year-old singer and mother of two says she don't want her sons to watch Snow White, a lovely lady whose only job was to clean for 7 half men.

Just Jared features Keys as she reasons why she dislikes Disney animation, particularly, "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs." Keys believe that children learn from their mothers first, and that these lessons are the ones that are deep-seated from babyhood. The singer says her boys can never learn anything good from watching the sexist film which only implies that ladies should clean for men.

"Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" was launched by Disney way back in 1937. The story is about a lovely princess named Snow White who was forced to run off to the woods to hide against the evil queen that wanted her dead. Snow White was adopted by seven colorful dwarfs, each named after their prominent personality.

The "Girl on Fire" singer clarified that she is not against how Snow White spends time cleaning the house of the dwarfs for she believes women who stay at home for their family is a tough job only mothers can do. She is just against how women who clean houses are talked down and ill-spoken to. Alicia keys earned her popularity for creating songs that uphold individuality while promoting change and growth.

Page Six apparently disagrees with the singer, saying Keys never watched the original cleaning scene of the animated film where Snow White clearly delegated most of the work to the dwarfs who happens to own the home she broke into and lived free of charge. And by the way, the dwarfs worked in the mine while Snow White stayed at home.
