‘Fifty Shades Darker’ News: Jamie Dornan Will Stay As Mr. Christian Grey; Rumors Ian Somerhalder Replacing Him, False!

Fans of "Fifty Shades Darker", the next installment to the uber popular, sexy movie, "Fifty Shades Of Grey" would be happy to learn that Jamie Dornan will continue on as Mr. Christian Grey for the rest of the films.

During the run of the first movie, "Fifty Shades of Grey" there were already rumors about actor Jamie Dornan, who plays Christian Grey in the movie, getting replaced. Rumors have also added a conflict with co-star Dakota Johnson, who plays the titular heroine Anastasia Steele, and with "Fifty Shades of Grey" author E.L James. But the rumors were debunked then when Jamie Dornan reps spoke to People saying, "He is looking forward to making the next film".

Now, rumors of the former frontrunner to the role of Christian Grey, "Vampire Diaries" Ian Somerhalder, are still persisting. Before Jamie Dornan was cast as Christian Grey, "Vampire Diaries" actor, Ian Somerhalder has expressed his desire to get the role of Christian Grey. Fans, most likely of the actor from "Vampire Diaries", has greatly expressed their support and enthusiasm for Ian Somerhalder's campaign for the role of Christian Grey in the "Fifty Shades Of Grey" trilogy.

Unfortunately for Ian Somerhalder, the movie cast Charlie Hunnam to play Christian Grey in the "Fifty Shades Of Grey" movies. Despite reports that Ian Somerhalder was lurid of the casting news, the "Vampire Diaries" actor had another shot for the role as Charlie Hunnam dropped out of the film calling it "the worst professional experience of his life". Ian Somerhalder lucked out as Jamie Dornan took over the role of Christian Grey after Charlie Hunnam's exit.

Now, Jamie Dornan has spoken out to stop all the rumors of Ian Somerhalder replacing him in the upcoming "Fifty Shades Of Grey" movies. In his interview with Jimmy Kimmel last November 3, the "Fifty Shades" actor said that he already finished filming the next two installments, "Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed".

The "Fifty Shades" actor also quipped that it would be a costly mistake if the film studios would be replacing him as Christian Grey now that the last two movies of the "Fifty Shades Of Grey" trilogy have finished filming.

"Fifty Shades Darker", the next installment of "Fifty Shades Of Grey" will be released this coming 2017. "Fifty Shades Freed" will finish off the trilogy coming in 2018. Both the main actors, Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson are staying on as their characters Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele.
