iOS 10 has several features that users have to know how to use. This is part of an update for an improved usability to iOS users.
According to Forbes, one of the most used application is the camera and photos which are covered by the iOS 10 improvements. Built in the Photo app is a new feature called the Memories. The Memories feature puts together photos based on locations and times to generate video slideshows.
The Memories feature of iOS 10 is dependent on Camera Roll to generate the video slideshow. Within the section of the Photos app, iOS 10 has created People and Places folder by detecting faces of people and locations in the photos.
After inputting the names of those people in the Photos, it is easier to access and search for photos of those people by name from the Camera Roll. The search feature also lets a user search for items such as "beach," "football game," etc. for convenience.
iOS 10 also added a feature which is targeted to photographers. It has the ability to edit RAW photo files in the DNG format. It is then important to note that photographers have to use a third party app like Obscura and RAW by 500px to edit the uncompressed photos.
iOS 10 has now the ability to edit Live Photos. Before, conversion of Live Photos to a regular photo is necessary to make adjustments such as filters and brightness.
Another interesting feature of iOS 10 is the ability for the Camera to be used as a magnifying glass. This can be accessed by going to Settings then to General tab, then Accessibility and finally choosing Magnifier option.
As added by Tech Radar, it is important the device is properly set up before upgrading to iOS 10. The iOS 10 is pre-installed on the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. If a user is using an older device, it is important to upgrade from iOS 9.
