BBC debuts a new drama show "King Charles III" which revolves around the lives of the monarch family. Recently, it was announced that "Edge of Tomorrow" star Charlotte Riley will play the role of the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton.
Riley's partner to play the Duke of Cambridge will be Oliver Chris. The role King Charles III will be played by Tim Pigott-Smith, who also happens to play the same character in the award-winning play by Mike Bartlett in London. Oliver Chris was also part of the "King Charles" play production along with several actors – Richard Goulding and Adam James as Harry and the Prime Minister respectively.
Meanwhile, Charlotte Riley's excitement to play as Kate Middleton is unequivocal. In an interview, Riley expressed playing the Duchess of Cambridge as a unique opportunity for a project.
As per the 34-year-old Riley, Kate Middleton is a very interesting woman. She foretells the pressure to play the role of someone who is real and expects the challenges she is yet to face. In spite, all these, Riley looks forward to playing the Duchess' part.
According to reports, the drama movie "King Charles III" will show how the king causes political chaos after refusing to sign certain bills. As for Pigott-Smith and Chris, they consider this opportunity, to able to play such high-bearing roles, high points of their careers.
Pigott-Smith revealed his enthusiasm about the filming of the "King Charles III". He believes that "King Charles III" will not just be any drama film about kings and princes and princesses, but a film that will show the relevance of the monarchy.

Mike Bartlett's play in London, directed by Rupert Goold, gained the Best New Play award during the Laurence Olivier Awards night. The 36-year-old playwright, Mike Bartlett, hopes to bring the new BBC movie "King Charles III" to a national audience.
