In a post-game interview, officiating referee Marc Davis explained that reason for the Washington Wizards John Wall's removal from the game. The incident occurred during the late quarter when the Washington Wizards lost to the Houston Rockets on Monday. Washington Wizards John Wall bumped official referee Marc Davis and picked up his second technical foul in the game, per USA Today, causing his removal from the game.
During the postgame interview, official referee Marc Davis was asked the reason for Washington Wizards John Wall's second foul. Davis said that John Wall was removed for his inappropriate language and using vulgarity toward a game official.
According to The Score, after granting the team a timeout, Davis felt that there was a contact between him and Washington Wizards John Wall. However, Marc Davis was uncertain as to Wall's intent for bumping him. Davis instead told Wall to watch himself. But John Wall later looked over his shoulder, used inappropriate language. Wall already received his first technical foul earlier in the game. These reasons were all enough for removing on his second technical foul.
During that game, however, Washington Wizards John Wall broke the Hall of Fame Wes Unseld's record for the career assists. John Wall entered Monday night's game against the Houston Rockets with the same Unseld record of 3,822 assists and tied the in the first quarter in the game. Washington Wizards John Wall later concealed Unseld's record by feeding Bradley Beal for a dunk with 10:15 left in the third quarter and the achievement was announced to the crowd at the following timeout.
John Wall is in his seventh season in the NBA league after being the No. 1 overall draft picked in 2010 out of Kentucky. Wall is also well known for his blazing speed and explosive athleticism. Due to that reason, he was able to achieve an impressive field goal percentage of 61.9% within three feet of the basket in NBA season of 2014-2015.
