‘Dishonored 2’ Release Date, News And Updates: Critics Found Various Glitches Prior To Nov. 11 Release

"Dishonored 2" is set to be released on Friday, Nov. 11 and some gamers were already given a preview copy to access the PC version of the anticipated game. Unfortunately, some glitches were already determined during the trial of "Dishonored 2" on PC.

One of the favored recipients of the preview copy of "Dishonored 2" was NeoGAF user Dmax3901, who reportedly examined the performance of the upcoming game, "Dishonored 2." The gamer posted a long report regarding his assessment on the preview copy of "Dishonored 2," supported with various screenshots to provide a clearer picture of his preview of the game.

In the said report, the Dmax3901 emphasized that one of the glitches he found on the preview copy of "Dishonored 2" is that the game is not able to maintain 60 fps at 1440p on a PC with R9 290 graphics, 16GB of RAM and an i5 4690k processor. Dmax3901 tried to fix his PC by setting it at 1080p and turning off the highly demanding settings so he can maintain 60 fps. Unfortunately, Dmax3901 came to a conclusion that the glitch was not solved, and his solution did not guarantee that the "Dishonored 2" game would maintain above 60 fps.

Moreover, while trying out the preview copy of "Dishonored 2," Dmax3901 tried to have a very low graphics settings, but the glitch still has surfaced, giving him the same frame rate dips. Dmax3901 also tried to uninstall the AMD drivers recommended for "Dishonored 2" and reinstalled again, but the glitch was still there.

Meanwhile, the glitch report of Dmax3901 on the preview copy of "Dishonored 2" was posted several days after complaints from the owners of Bethesda's Skyrim Special Edition have surfaced, claiming they were also suffering from the same performance glitch, Crave reported.

Furthermore, PCGamer has also tried the preview copy of "Dishonored 2" and reports more glitches. According to the publication, the normal '+com_skipintroVideo 1' is not working in the Steam launch options, even if the "Dishonored 2" Void Engine is already an improved version of id Tech 6.

Also, the report noted that the same glitch that Dmax3901 encountered on the preview copy of "Dishonored 2" was experienced in a PC with GTX 970, i5-3570k and 16GB of RAM. However, the glitch was not experienced when the critic used a PC with GTX 1070, i5-6600k and 16GB of RAM, which actually resulted to an average 8- fps, with dips to 60 fps only on city streets.
