It's no secret that Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are currently on cloud nine, and their marriage is stronger than it's ever been. Now the actor shares how he knew that she was "the one" for him.
In an interview with GQ Magazine, which recently crowned him its "Man of the Year," reveals that things clicked between him and Lively while out at a restaurant in New York City. "[It was] probably after the sex," the actor kidded, before he got serious about his relationship with her.
Reynolds shares that they were hanging out at a "little restaurant in Tribeca" and asked his "The Green Lantern" co-star to dance with him after a song, which he didn't specify what it was, started playing. "And it was just one of those moments where halfway through the dance, it was like, 'Oh, I think I just crossed a line,'" he shares.
"And then I walked her home. And, uh, you know, I don't really need to go into what happened after that," he concluded. At the time of the interview, Lively was still heavily pregnant with their second child, and the actor happily gushed about meeting the newest addition to his little family.
"I'm on the precipice of having a real American family," the actor said, according to The Huffington Post. "I mean, I always imagined that would happen, and then it happened. Every idiotic Hallmark-card cliché is true." The couple recently welcomed their daughter, who will follow older sister James, now two years old.
Reynolds also opened up his relationship with his estranged father and explained how happy he was that they were able to work things out between them, the best they could before his father passed away. His full interview with the magazine is now available online, with the printed version hitting newsstands on Nov. 22.
