Another Case Of Drug Overdose? Infant Found Dead, Two Adults Unresponsive Inside Marlborough Home

A dead infant and two unresponsive adults were found by the police officials at a Marlborough home at around 11:48 A.M. Middlesex District Attorney's Office said in a statement that the man is 23 years old while the woman is 19 years old.

Both of the adults were rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, the baby who was also taken to the hospital was pronounced dead later, Patch reported. A call was said to be made regarding the unresponsive adults and infant.

The State Police that is assigned to the District Attorney's Office is currently investigating the matter because it is mandatory in all child death cases. The state Department of Children and Families is also investigating the incident.

According to the reports, the baby was only five weeks old and was found in bed with the two unresponsive adults. Investigators left the home at around 8:15 p.m. after recovering evidence, which was placed on multiple evidence bags. The Boston Globe reported that the home was sealed off with police tape and a blue compact car was located in the area.

Witnesses said that a group of people returned to the home on Harrison Place but they did not speak to the reporters. It was unclear why they were at the scene.

A neighbor, identified as 63-year-old Anna Rumsey, said that her adult daughter was home at the time when the incident unfolded. She said that her daughter told her a woman was running down the street and was screaming "my baby, my baby!"

It was unclear if the woman screaming was the one who contacted authorities. The relationship of the baby to the woman screaming, as well as the relationship of the unresponsive man and woman have not been revealed yet. Rumsey said that she does not know the family living in the home or how many people have been coming in and out of the residence as of late.

As of writing, the investigation is ongoing. Do you think the incident is another case of drug overdose parents?
