Last Thursday's episode of DC's "Legends of Tomorrow," "Compromised" was a quick romp through the 1980's complete with fights inside the White House. The season is picking up, and Vixen is getting comfortable being out of time with the members of the Legends.
In "Legends of Tomorrow" Episode 5 "Compromised," after Nate Heywood invents a time seismograph, the team heads for Washington, D.C., in 1987, where they find out that someone is about to disrupt the INF Treaty. This someone turns out to be Damien Darhk, who has gotten himself as part of the American Panel, even as he has close relations with the Soviets.
Darhk has multiple goals including stockpiling nuclear arms and getting his hands on an artifact which the Soviets have. Fortunately, Sara was able to get the artifact before a speedster (Reverse Flash) takes Darhk away.
The team from "Legends of Tomorrow" gets around the White House with some help from an original Justice Society of America member, Obsidian. Unlike Vixen who did not grow old because she was time traveling, Obsidian is now an old man, but still with connections to the FBI.
Empty Lighthouse notes that another time paradox problem crops up when Martin Stein sees his younger 1987 self in the White House in an advisory role in the nuclear treaty talks. The younger Martin Stein later gets in the way of the mission when he gets himself stabbed by Damien Darhk.
According to EW, "Legends of Tomorrow" Episode 5 "Compromised" once again is more of a comedy of errors where the team is getting to know one another. Ray Palmer has now gotten used to being without any superpowers and has accepted his role as partner to Mick Rory (also known as Heat Wave). They still need to communicate better during fights, although Mick shows full confidence in Ray even as Palmer tries to defuse a time bomb.
The takeaway from this is that Eobard Thawn is going to be more hands on about the matter, as he whisks Damien Darhk along on his time travels. More plot twists and hilarious moments are to be expected on "Legends of Tomorrow" after CW ordered an extra four episodes to add to this current season, reports said.
