'Power Rangers' News & Updates: Megazord Release Did Not Impress Fans? Movie Release Date Final

If "Power Rangers" has been your favorite afternoon show back when you were young, then this is good news for you! After its first premiere in 1993, the "Power Rangers" are heading back to the big screen!

"Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" produced over 23 seasons and had two major films in the 90's becoming a pop culture phenomenon in 1993. Now, Lionsgate and Saban Brands is in the process of creating the third "Power Rangers" movie which is set to show in theaters this 2017.

The "Power Rangers" are five superheroes in different colors - Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, and Pink. These colors represent different values or characteristics. Red embodies leadership, Blue signifies bravery, Yellow emboldens unity, Green emanates strength, and Pink encourages love.

The movie trailer of the "Power Rangers" reboot was released last Oct 2016. It garnered several criticisms as the rangers' suits were far from that on the original TV series. Although, the "Power Rangers" villain Rita Repulsa was notable in the trailer since her portrayal was on point.

According to reports, an image of a Megazord was posted on "Power Rangers" official Twitter account. The Megazord is the gigantic combining mecha of the rangers and fans are excited on how it would look like.

The first look of the Megazord is not a film render but rather a toy form, same with the Tyrannosaurus Dinozord they've also released. The Megazord in the photo is nothing like the classic Megazord in the TV series.

Apart from the figures of the five rangers, the toy Megazord has lights, sounds, and wings. I repeat, wings! The total design looks pretty interesting, though.

With this revelation, many "Power Rangers" fans expressed their disappointments from the ranger suits to the robots and machines. As early as now, we can say that the reboot will be far different from the original TV series.

It would never hurt to wait to find out if the movie will turn out great. "Power Rangers" premieres on March 24, 2017.
