"Pokemon GO" from Niantic Labs and The Pokemon Company are making good on their promise of Legendary Pokemon. The same is true for enhanced "Pokemon GO" Nearby tracking feature. At the same time, Niantic Labs and The Pokemon Company are luring visitors into the Tsunami affected areas in Japan.
The Express cites Eurogamer in reporting that Niantic Labs' marketing officer Mike Quigley relayed that the "Pokemon GO" developed is now focused on developing game features rather than fixing bugs. Mike Quigley explained that much of the controversies in these early months of "Pokemon GO," including the block on third-party tracking apps entailed difficult decisions.
However, Mike Quigley revealed that that Niantic Labs is listening to fan needs and will soon make "Pokemon GO" Nearby tracking feature available. As Eurogamer reports, the "Pokemon GO" Nearby tracking feature has even now been made available in a few areas in the US.
The "Pokemon GO" Nearby tracking feature may next see release in the UK. According to Mike Quigley, the "Pokemon GO" Nearby tracking will be made available form country to country.
Besides the "Pokemon GO" Nearby tracking feature, Mike Quigley also addressed the release of Legendary Pokemon. Niantic Labs does have a plan in place for the release and availability of Legendary Pokemon.
As it is Niantic Labs is set to release new "Pokemon GO" features around December 31, 2016. Still, referencing "Pokemon GO" Gen 2 news, the anticipated 100 new Pokemon and families among others may or may not take a while to release. According to the Niantic Labs officer, these "Pokemon GO" Gen 2 features will only see release as long as they pass the standards of the developer and of The Pokemon Company.
Along with bringing new features to "Pokemon GO" as a whole, Forbes notes that Niantic Labs also seems to be reaching out to the Tsunami affected areas in Japan. Currently "Pokemon GO" is spawning Lapras on the Iwate, Miyagi, and Fukushima Prefectures in Japan, which were all affected by the Tsunami in 2011.
With hopes of increasing tourism in these Prefectures in Japan, Niantic Labs will continue spawning Lapras on these coastlines until Nov 23. As Forbes points out the targeted spawning of Lapras in Japan may be a preview of future promotional events of Legendary Pokemon.
