"Narcos" ended its Season 2 with the death of the main character, Pablo Escobar. With that, many wonder what is going to happen when "Narcos" Season 3 returns. The show would venture into the other parts of drug cartel and has been bringing in new characters.
Andrea Londo is one of the newest additions to the cast of "Narcos" Season 3. While Pedro Pascal has been confirmed to be reprising his role as DEA agent Javier Pena, it remains to be seen whether Wagner Moura and Boyd Holbrook will also be appearing in the next season of the hit Netflix series.
Andrea Londo will play as Maria. As reported by Deadline, Maria is a young Colombian beauty queen, described as clever and knows how to survive. She will join the recently added Michael Stahl-David and Matt Whelan in the drug cartel drama on Netflix, which will pick up with the death of the cocaine kingpin and Medellin cartel's leader Pablo Escobar, played by Wagner Moura.
"Narcos" Season 3 is going to focus on another drug cartel called Cali, which took charge after Medellin's fallout. With that, DEA Agent Pena is definitely coming back. However, whether he would be in tandem again with Boyd Holbrook's Steve Murphy is still not confirmed.
"There's many conversations going on about all of this stuff so we're letting it play out," Boyd Holbrook previously told The Hollywood Reporter. Fans hope to see the Pena-Murphy duo again, but in reality, the real-life agents left Colombia shortly after Escobar's death, THR added.
Meanwhile, as previously reported by Parent Herald, while Pablo Escobar already died in "Narcos" Season 2, he could still appear in flashback in the third season. This will be possible if the show establishes the conflict that arose between the Medellin cartel and the Cali cartel.
"Narcos" Season 3 will launch in 2017, likely at the same period that the first two seasons were released.
