Apple iPhone 8 News: iPhone 7 vs iPhone 8, Features, Specs, Price Compared; No iPhone 7s?

In the recent Apple iPhone 8 news, the features and specs of the soon-to-be-released iPhone 8 and the newly available iPhone 7 were compared against each other. Many Apple fans are now very excited to get their hands on the iPhone 8 which will be released next year. But will there be also an iPhone 7s?

The Apple iPhone will have its tenth anniversary in 2017 and consumers are expecting Apple Inc. to launch something incredible to celebrate the occasion. Critics are saying that the upcoming iPhone 8 could be the brand new smartphone fans of Apple are clamoring for. Although reports have surfaced that Apple is believed to skip the iPhone 7s and proceed with the iPhone 8.

Even though the iPhone has an iconic design, a brand new image is overdue as shown in the recent iPhone 7 reveal which was very similar to previous model blueprints. Rumors that are circulating regarding the iPhone 8 imply a complete redesign of Apple's landmark smartphone.

Apple maybe considering thinning the bezels for the iPhone 8 and the unit would have an OLED display which would be a first time for an iPhone model. Other indicators are also pointing towards an edge-to-edge display that would not have any bezels at all. It will possibly have a display that would sport a 5.8 inch screen size compared to the iPhone 7 Plus' 5.5 size.

Reports also suggest that the iPhone 8 would switch to a non-aluminum casing and it will rely on touch screen functionality that would remove the need for a Home button. For customers who recently upgraded to the iPhone 7 Plus, the first thing that they would notice is the conspicuous similarity of the unit to the previous iPhone 6.

If a retailer shows the iPhone 7 side by side with the iPhone 6, most customers won't be able to tell the difference. This is another reason why the new look of the iPhone 8 would truly establish it as the next-gen Apple smartphone.

Apple had said before that the iPhone 7 A10 processor was the most potent chip ever integrated to a smartphone, but analysts are expecting the iPhone 8 to do better with a 3GB RAM which will improve on the iPhone 7 2GB RAM. The iPhone 8 would also include a quad-core processor which will further advance the iPhone concept.

As the release date of the new iPhone comes nearer, another news report suggested that Apple could change the name of the new smartphone to iPhone X. Fans see this possible decision as the company's acknowledgement of the product's tenth anniversary.

No word yet as to the release of iPhone 8 and whether an iPhone 7s will in fact exist. Keep posted for more information.
