‘The Blacklist’ Season 4 Episode 9 Spoilers: Who Is Liz’ Father? EP Teased ‘Red Never Lies’ and Kirk Is Gone

The executive producers Jon Bokenkamp and Daniel Cerone gave out significant spoilers revealing what fans can expect when "The Blacklist" season 4 returns for episode 9. Will Liz continue to search for her father or has she really found him? Is Kirk really gone for good?

The previous episode of "The Blacklist" exploded with Red's statement telling Alexander Kirk that he is Liz' father. However, Red also followed his declaration with a mind-boggling question asking Kirk if that is what he wanted to hear. This second statement of Red sounds like he was just trying to appease Kirk and that there is still no guarantee of him being the father of Liz. This plot now appears to be the cliffhanger from the first half of season 4 of "The Blacklist."

"The Blacklist" season 4 left with an explosive cliffhanger, and fans are now anxious to know the truth behind Red's statements. The previous episode also featured Kirk's exit on the show. However, fans still want to know if Kirk will be gone for good?

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Bokenkamp confirmed that Alexander Kirk will no longer come back on "The Blacklist," which seems to suggest that Kirk is really out of the picture with regards to Liz' options for his father's identity.

The "The Blacklist" EP further detailed that the series will head to a different direction when it returns for the back half of the season. Fans of "The Blacklist" can expect fresh storylines as the series begins to explore new compelling arcs in the next half of season 4.

Furthermore, Bokenkamp gave out a major spoiler regarding what fans can expect when "The Blacklist" season 4 returns in January 2017. According to Bokenkamp, the fresh storylines actually have sprung up from the past arcs of "The Blacklist." If fans will be too keen, they could recognize how the new direction is linked with the past episodes of "The Blacklist" as Bokenkamp teased that the seeds of the new story were already "planted some time ago."

Meanwhile, "The Blacklist" writer Daniel Cerone posted on his Twitter account an intriguing tweet saying "Red NEVER lies." "The Blacklist" writer further teased that Red also previously mentioned that he was not the father of Liz, then Cerone revealed that fans will understand how it will all make sense when the series continues with the back half of season 4.

"The Blacklist" season 4 episode 9 is scheduled to return on Jan. 5, 2017, as announced at the official website of NBC.
