"Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk" sets record after garnering the third spot on 2016's list of movies with the best per theater average view. The movie adaptation by Academy two-time winner Ang Lee debuted in the big screens of New York and the Los Angeles earned a whopping $120K.
The movie is an adaptation of the sweltering and powerful novel "Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk" written by Ben Fountain. The novel was published back in May 2012 under the Ecco Press imprint of HarperCollins. The novel's striking story was brought to life by the genius of Ang Lee, two-time Oscar Academy winner and movie industry legend. Lee is also the brain behind the record setting movie "The Life of Pi".
The movie which debuted in the big screens in November 11, is projected in 4K, 3D and is one of the first films to be shot at a 120 frames per second rate. Internet Movie Database reports that the movie required an estimated budget of $40M dollars.
