Three fire engines hurried to the Christ Church's Hall at Oxford University on Nov. 12 after a fire was caught in the building. The building is also known as Hogwarts' Great Hall where "Harry Potter" movies were filmed.
One of the professors of the Oxford University, Linda Woodhead, was at the place where the fire took place. Woodhead managed to tweet a photo from the scene where fire engines lined up in front of the Christ Church's Hall, also known as Hogwarts' Great Hall, according to Mirror UK.
After a few moments, the scenario was already under control, but there seemed to be a lot of smoke and some damage done. Nobody was hurt during the fire at the Harry Potter's Hogwarts' Great Hall and the damaged attained was "limited," according to an eyewitness.
The Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to a fire report at the iconic great hall at Christ Church, Oxford around one in the afternoon on Saturday, according to Entertainment Weekly. Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue sent four fire appliances from different fire stations that quickly attended the scene. The fire resulted in smoking logging in the great hall at Oxford.
The cause of the fire at the famous Hogwarts' Great Hall is due to an electrical fault in the hot plate located within the serving area of the place, according to the Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service. Nobody was hurt during the incident due to the college staff who made quick actions in evacuating the area and calling the Fire Rescue service.
The Christ Church's Hall acted as the Hogwarts' Great Hall in the "Harry Potter" movie series. The 16th-century staircase was also used in the filming of the movie "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone." Eventually, the filmmakers of the hit franchise made a replica of the Christ Church's Hall in London for the continuation of the production of "Harry Potter" movies.
