Activision's latest installment "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" offers up loads of surprises. There has been quite a shift on the "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" due to its futuristic sense in tone and technologically compared to the past few years. There are three things that you will experience on this game - battles in space, interstellar conflicts, and wisecracking robots.
"Infinite Warfare" is still "Call of Duty" at its very core for better or for worse yet the latest installment is full of massive fast-paced multi-player action and new Zombies mode according to YahooTech. "Call of Duty" attempted to use a new formula to reinvent itself to make it interesting again. "Battlefield 1" and "Titanfall 2" of EA has been two of the biggest competitor of "Call of Duty" that contributes to Activision's struggle.
"Infinite Warfare" is taking the gamers to a whole new level by bringing the battle outside of earth and having interplanetary enemies which are really a full blown addicting game experience. The battle started when mankind has depleted Earth's natural resources and colonized other planets to reap treasure's from the other planet. Mars rises up against the earth and the interplanetary war started.
As a first person view type of game, "Infinite Warfare" gives its player a profile as a Lieutenant Nick Reyes of the United Nation Space Alliance. Being promoted as a captain of own carrier ship Retribution you are tasked to defeat the terrorist group and protect the earth from being destroyed.
"Infinite Warfare" is really over the top in all the good ways. It will let you fight using battle tanks on earth and will bring you to a zero gravity gun fight in space. "Call of Duty" legacy is still there and it will force you to go forward.
Some fans, however, rallied against the futuristic settings of "Call of Duty" telling that it's a big departure from the "Call of Duty" gameplay according to the post in GameRant. Fans are finding themselves frustrated as "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" is looking forward to introducing more microtransaction using CODPoints as a way of boosting the game's revenue. CODPoints can be used to purchase new weapons using real money with prices starting from $2 for 200 points up to $99.99 for 13,000 points.
It is east to see why fans got frustrated due to the plans of having microtransaction. Activision who published the game has yet to confirm if they are going to use CODPoints to "Infinite Warfare." Until the change has been made, the game will stay the same.
