“American Horror Story: Roanoke”: Season Finale Features 'AHS: Asylum' Lana Winters [SPOILERS]; ‘AHS’ Season 7 Plot Revealed!

"American Horror Story: Roanoke" has officially come to a close but not without "AHS: Asylum" Lana Winters returning and the real survivor of the horrors revealed. So what is next for the "AHS" Season 7 series creator Murphy?

When everyone thinking that Lee Harris was the remaining survivor of "American Horror Story: Roanoke" season finale, well it isn't quite her, at all. After an "explosive" close, turns out that her daughter, Fiona, is the real survivor of the series, having been spared from the Butcher, the Polks, and every horror there is in that old Virginia house.

"American Horror Story: Roanoke" concluded by bringing back Lana Winters, a character from the "AHS: Asylum." Sarah Paulson, who played Audrey Tindall with a British accent and Shelby Miller, portrayed the role once again to interview Lee Harris after her acquittal against all murder charges.

The "American Horror Story: Roanoke" season finale left viewers with something to hold on to as Lee sacrificed herself so that Fiona could live. And as the cameras were about to close, the people of Roanoke came bearing torches with the blood moon to a full.

Now, the question remains: What's next for "AHS" Season 7? What is Ryan Murphy concocting this time?

Since "American Horror Story" has already covered mostly a murderous house, an asylum with no cure or escape, a coven with matching voodoo, a carnival of freak show, a cursed hotel, and a land consecrated with blood, Inverse reported that Ryan Murphy would not hide the plot for "AHS" Season 7, unlike what he did with "American Horror Story: Roanoke."

Among the details revealed by show creator Murphy include tie in with "AHS: Freak Show," "exploring Season 4 in Season 7." Not only will the new "American Horror Story" be linked with "AHS: Freak Show," but also it will be connected with "AHS: Coven."

"You'll see it this season, and then you'll really see it after this season. We lay a lot of pipe, and you'll see it explode in Seasons 7 and 8," per Bustle when Murphy was asked if previous "American Horror Story" seasons will be connected. Well, fans will have to wait until the spring of 2017 for any official announcement from FX or Murphy himself on "AHS" Season 7.

Unfortunately, for fans of "AHS: Murder House" and "AHS: Coven," the next season of "American Horror Story" would not be a "Murder House-Coven" crossover according to Entertainment Weekly. But Murphy did confirm that there will be a "Murder House-Coven" crossover.

What do you think will be the focus of the next season after "American Horror Story: Roanoke"?
