Physical fitness and being physically fit is the way to go at present as many desire to be back in shape again. Smart watches such as Garmin Vivoactive HR and Apple 2 have been in tough competition to deliver the best physical activity tracking. With this tough battle, reports suggest that Garmin Vivoactive HR is the clear winner.
According to Wareable, the Garmin Vivoactive HR is a Forerunner, Swim, Approach, Fenix and Edge all in one watch. It is considered that jack-of-all-trades in more ways than one. This smart watch is ideal for those who go for a leisurely morning run, golf players and Sunday walks with the family.
The Garmin Vivoactive HR is also ideal for those who are into serious running, cycling, cross-country skiing, indoor rowing and many more. It is obvious that this watch can serve its purpose, for whatever it is intended to be used for.
The Garmin Vivoactive HR uses touch screen which can be swiped down through the daily activity and notifications menu. One can get an overview of the day by the number of steps made, intensity minutes, last sport completed and even weather report notifications.
The Garmin Vivoactive HR also keeps track of one's heart rate for the last four hours including resting HR. As for playing sports, it only takes pressing the right-hand button found on the bottom of the watch and the list appears. The list includes run, bike, pool swim, golf, walk, row and many more.
Also added by Tech Radar, the Apple Watch 2 has been upgraded significantly compared to the previous Apple Watch models. Its extended battery life is impressive. The Apple Watch 2 also has GPS abilities and is water-resistant.
However, in spite of these notable upgrades, the Apple Watch 2 is reported to not do enough to make one need such a watch yet. There are still a lot of improvements needed for Apple Watch 2 to be the smartwatch of all smartwatches.
For now, it may be Garmin Vivoactive HR's time. Note, though, that Apple will definitely not to be outdone and may come up with a smart watch considerably better than the Apple Watch 2 enough to beat Garmin Vivoactive HR.
