The entire tech world is eagerly waiting every time Apple is about to release its newest iPhone model. After iPhone 7 was released in September, data shows that many Android users shift to Apple but prefers iPhone 6s rather than the newest iPhone 7.
According to the latest data gathered from Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP), out of all the people who bought the iPhone 7 after being released in Sept. 2016, only 17 percent were former Android users. That's five percent more than when the iPhone 6 was released in 2014 BUT nine percent less from the 26% former android users who bought the iPhone 6s.
Mike Levin from CIRP assured that the 'decrease' is not necessarily bad for Apple. People are still buying iPhones despite the numerous updates and upgrades. iPhone 7 sales are still higher than the iPhone 6's.
For the past 3 years, the iPhone launch always ends up successful. Reports have it that this accomplishment is not because of the Android users who switch to iPhone but because of the existing and loyal iPhone owners who choose to upgrade their models.
Apple released the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus last September of this year. The iPhone 7 doesn't really differ much with iPhone 6s when it comes to the looks but the former offers a faster processor and an improved camera. The iPhone 7 is also the first iPhone without a headphone jack.
In our previous report, we can recall that the new iPhone 7 has two variations, one of which is slightly slower than the other. To know more about it, check it here.
If you are an Android user who wishes to shift to Apple iOS, you better check which iPhone model you are getting. As some Apple loyalists say, "once you go Mac, you never go back."
