"Girl Meets World" Season 3 just aired its 17th episode titled "Girl Meets Hollyworld." Now, fans are wondering what's in store for the Disney Channel series' upcoming episodes. Here's what you should expect from episode 18 or this season's Christmas episode, as well as the rest of Season 3.
According to CarterMatt, episode 18 of "Girl Meets World" Season 3 would center on Maya (Sabrina Carpenter) and "could have a reflective theme to it." As for the rest of "Girl Meets World" Season 3, there will be a birthday party episode titled "Girl Meets Sweet Sixteen" and a behind-the-scenes episode highlighting the cast.
In the special behind-the-scenes episode, the "Girl Meets World" cast answers questions from the audience. This episode was filmed after the Season 3 finale but it could go on air before the final episode of the third season, CarterMatt further reported.
The "Girl Meets World" Season 3 finale, which is expected to air at some point in 2017, is titled "Girl Meets Goodbye" and will bring together the cast and the characters from "Boy Meets World." It's still unknown if this episode will be a series finale or a season finale but fans are definitely hoping it's the latter.
"Girl Meets World" Season 3 wrapped filming in August and it's not just fans who are clamoring for a Season 4 renewal; the cast also wants to continue telling the characters' stories. Lead star Rowan Blanchard, who portrays Riley, are joining fans in their social media campaign for a Season 4 renewal. Check out the young actress' tweet below.
"Girl Meets World" fans are using the hashtag #SaveGirlMeetsWorld and #GirlMeetsWorldSeason4 to campaign for the coming-of-age sitcom's renewal. Fans' fears regarding the series' future are reasonable because in majority of TV programs' cases, executives decide and announce pretty quickly whether they're continuing a show's run.
In the case of "Girl Meets World," Disney execs have remained mum about the matter. There are also rumors that Blanchard and Carpenter are not in good terms and it could affect their characters' rapport. That rumor, however, proved to be false, Seventeen reported.
There are also theories that Disney Channel is considering transferring "Girl Meets World" to another network so the writers can insert more grown-up plot lines into the story. What do you think? Do you want "Girl Meets World" to get renewed for Season 4? Why or why not? Share your thoughts below.
