“The Conjuring 3” is one of the highly anticipated horror films following the success of the first two installments. Fans of the horror franchise are waiting for the new plot to be revealed, and a popular speculation is that "Conjuring 3" will be about an encounter with werewolves.
"The Conjuring" follows the lives Ed and Lorraine Warren (Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga), husband and wife who are work together as paranormal investigators. In an interview, Director James Wan hinted of the possibility of an "American Werewolf in London" theme for the upcoming "The Conjuring 3." This could be a possibility as the lives and encounter of the Warrens need to be heightened to adapt to the big screen.
However, Wan still didn’t give out any concrete detail on the upcoming horror flick. What is sure, however, is that the writers and producers are already eyeing around 30 stories based on the Warrens' real-life accounts of demonic hauntings, Cinema Blend reports.
It could also be that some of the shortlisted stories for “The Conjuring 3” will take place on different times to create continuity for the movie. Another interesting plot reveal for “The Conjuring 3” is that Wan wants to set the film on the 1980s. it can be recalled that the first two “Conjuring” films were set in the 70s, IGN reports.
While Wan and Warner Bros. have not confirmed an official release date and plot for "The Conjuring 3," many fans are expecting for its release possibly by 2018. "Conjuring 2," which was released in June this year, was a major blockbuster hit during its opening weekend. It went on to rake in more than $300 million worldwide.
