‘Fullmetal Alchemist’ Live-Action Film Updates: Teaser Reveals Plot Scope Plus A Sequel In The Works? Watch Trailer Here!

Warner Bros. is bringing the popular anime series to the big screen as the live-action adaptation of "Fullmetal Alchemist" is set for release in 2017. Seems like the expectations of manga fans are not so high about the movie adaptation of the manga series created by Hiromu Arakawa, considering the mediocre reviews of past live-action films such "Attack on Titan" and Dragonball Evolution." However, the recently released first trailer for "Fullmetal Alchemist" seems to promise an excellent adaptation to delight the fans.

According to Coming Soon, "Fullmetal Alchemist" looks promising as the creators appear to have religiously followed the original manga story. Some of the proofs for this assumption is the all-Japanese cast and the location shoot in Italy.

"Fullmetal Alchemist" features the journey of two brothers in a fictional world, Edward and Alphonse Elric. The two alchemist brothers are searching for the ultimate cure to restore their bodies, following a failed attempt to bring their mother back to life.

Since the whole "Fullmetal Alchemist" is composed of 27 volumes, fans are wondering which part of the anime series will be featured in the movie. The first official trailer of the film seems to reveal that it will only cover the first part of the series. This seems to be welcome news as trying to fit everything in one movie will likely ruin the quality of the film.

With such a rich story material to work on, the next question is if a sequel will happen for "Fullmetal Alchemist." As of this writing, a part two for the live-action adaptation of the manga series seems unlikely as published in Japan Today.

Are you going to watch "Fullmetal Alchemist" which is to be released in winter of 2017?
