A California woman who was three months pregnant and was just visiting Venice Beach was stabbed to death by two Hispanic women and one Hispanic man. The woman was also a mother to a three-year-old daughter.
The woman, identified as 22-year-old Jasmine Preciado, was stabbed near the intersection of Pacific Avenue and Windward Avenue at around 9:30 p.m. Los Angeles Police Department Lt. John Redtke said in a statement that the victim was found bleeding and unresponsive then was taken to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead, KTLA reported.
It was not stated how many stab wounds did Preciado suffer from or which parts of her body were stabbed. The cousin of the victim, who wanted to remain anonymous, said in a statement that the victim lived in Inglewood and was just visiting Venice Beach with her boyfriend.
The cousin said, "She loved her daughter. She's going to be missed ... We just want justice for her daughter." It remained unknown where Preciado's three-year-old daughter is now.
The two reportedly went to visit their friends. Preciado was involved in a fight with her attackers when she was stabbed. It was unclear, however, if the victim and the attackers knew each other. It also remained uncertain where the boyfriend of Preciado was when she was attacked.
But according to Patch, Preciado's boyfriend was unharmed. The suspects, on the other hand, fled the scene after the stabbing. They had a car that was described as a dark SUV.
As of press time, there are no other leads about the suspects. It is unknown if officials have talked to witnesses or if there are surveillance videos that possibly captured the stabbing.
