‘Vikings Season 4B’ News, Rumors & Spoilers: Ragnar’s Influence, Character Passed To Sons Ivar, Ubbe

The return of Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel) has surprised everyone, including his sons who have already planned the King's death. Yet, when he asked everyone to kill him, nobody stepped up to the challenge. Clearly, Ragnar's presence and charisma were felt giving everyone chills up to the very last bone.

When the second half of HISTORY's "Vikings Season 4" returns this Nov. 4, Ragnar's persona - his characteristics, his charisma, his unnerving presence, the commanding respect he once had will be passed on to his sons. The question is - who will have what?

The Fearsome Ivar the Boneless

Ivar the Boneless (Alex Høgh Andersen) grew without his father by his side to protect him. Nevertheless, he grew up as fearsome as his father was. His being crippled had made him stronger rather than being bullied. And we have seen how Ivar become a monster even at a tender age.

So when Ragnar Lothbrok got back, there's this feeling inside Ivar that made him attracted to his father, overcoming the hatred he once knew. And in the second half of "Vikings Season 4", we'll see how far the bonding goes between the father and son.

The Loving Intelligent Leader Ubbe

The eldest son, Ubbe (Jordan Patrick Smith) has become the father figure to his younger brothers looking for their welfare and letting them understand the situation after Ragnar and Bjorn went to Frankia. Not only did it make him strong but also an intelligent fighter. And when he say something, the strong-willed Ivar listens.

"I am not soft," Ubbe answered Ivar after the latter accused him of being soft during the mid-season finale of "Vikings Season 4." Then he made them understand his point, "None of us is soft. But we must understand what our father did and what he was. As his son, his fame does not interest me. What he used his power for that interests me."

Ubbe has a point. His brothers did not bother questioning him. They know he's right. What is power for if you don't know how to use it? He never wants to repeat the same mistake their father did.

The second half of "Vikings Season 4" returns this Nov. 30, only on HISTORY.
