'Chicago Fire' Season 5 Episode 6: Dawson Gets Involved With A $6B Lawsuit; Can She Prove Her Innocence? [RECAP]

“Chicago Fire” Season 5 Episode 6, entitled “That Day,” revolves around what happened on that fateful day when Dawson (Monica Raymund) accidently hits a pedestrian while driving. The incident blew up to be a $6 billion suit for Dawson. Will she be able to prove her innocence?

It’s clear from the viewers' point of view that Dawson is innocent, but she has to prove it and present solid evidence. Her brother comes to sort things out which makes the situation even harder for Dawson.

Meanwhile, "Chicago Fire" Season 5 Episode 6 also delves on a new storyline. Boden (Eamonn Walker) cancels his supposed trip to New York to help out with the team. It's still unclear why he was supposed to fly to New York, but perhaps there might be another plot into that, as Entertainment Weekly recaps.

Boden’s son mulls about life and what he wants to do in the future. He's unsure if being a firefighter is what he really wants. He spends a few ships in the station, and still, he seems to feel alone and alienated.

To help his son, Boden shares his emotional experience as one of the responders during the 9/11. He explains that firefighters are heroes, and that's why people look up to them.

"Chicago Fire" Season 5 Episode 6 also wraps up with another subplot. Casey (Jesse Spencer) and Severide (Taylor Kinney) are investing a case and they are both right to think it was a case of arson. By working together, the two characters' respect to one another was back at the end of the episode, TV Fanatic recaps.

“That Day” is one of the best episodes of “Chicago Fire” Season 5. The overarching stories open a whole new door and create closure among characters.

Know what will happen to Dawson’s case on the next episode of “Chicago Fire” Season 5, airing on Nov. 30, 10/9C on NBC.
